Storytelling Top Tips

We all have a story. That is the truth of my 20 years in therapy and two years as the founder of StoryTelling Corner. Over the last ten years of networking, it has become clear that what’s important is telling the story well. There are top tips for gaining and maintaining impact with your story. We now perform out of Temperance Cafe, Leamington Spa. CV31 3AF and all the admission money goes to charity.

1. Storytelling is good for you. Stories have consequences, especially negative stories. Get them out of your system.
2. “Would it be OK to hear your story about how you got to be where you are?” Storytelling leads to discussions and opens up new friendships.
3. “No one knows your story better than you do.” You will increase your self esteem by telling your story often, telling it well and telling it to the right people.

We all have a story and we can all tell the story in so many different ways. The telling of the story can be changed and the different audiences entertained.
